About Us
Our passion for food and our family roots travel back to a small Italian town along the Mediterranean coast of Italy. My father, Ugolino Silvestri, was born and raised in Bacoli, Italy where he learned his trade as a chef. He moved to the United States in 1976 and was given the nickname "Nicky." He met his wife, my mother, Diane, and they began their lifelong work as restaurant entrepreneurs in New Jersey, and later, Virginia. In 1979, the Silvestris opened the first "Italian Touch" in Howell, NJ.
Twenty-two years later, we opened Italian Touch in the wonderful town of Woodstock, VA. Originally starting as a casual eat-in, carry-out, and delivery pizza shop, a year later, the pizzeria was expanded to include a full-service dining room. While my parents have since retired and moved away, Shenandoah County, Virginia has become my home. My employees, my family and I love continuing to serve this community, and the travelers and tourists, both with food and hospitality.

Italian Touch features authentic New York style pizza and our famous Philly cheese-steaks. Our pizza dough is hand-made fresh daily with high quality ingredients. Fresh marinara sauce is made in house and used in many of our homemade pasta dishes or as a side to our fatboys and strombolis! We strive to offer healthy, affordable options for our customers and use only the finest ingredients when preparing delicious Italian-American fare.
